A Bureaucrat's Question

So, how many candidates do you have to have in a city council race before it ceases to be a race and just becomes a clusterfuck?

And who exactly is the "power bottom" in this race?

I was in a race with 8 or 9 candidates. It was still a race. Citizens get only one vote. Voting is simple.

Politics is often complicated. With 2, it is generally even more twisted and crazy.

Instant Runoff Elections would be most welcomed.

I think all council races should be decided by a good old fashioned game of rochambeau between the candidates.

If we instituted your reform, Anthony,
no doubt the incoming Councilwoman Smith would be running the table in three weeks. Motznik would be doing alright. The rest of the city would be under six feet of snow, which at would fill most of the potholes.
